Slava Petropavlovskikh
Director of New Product Development and Co-Founder of BiOptix, Founder, BiOptix Analytical.
Slava is a dual degree graduate in Applied Mathematics (M.S. – Military Academy) and Applied Physics (M.S. – Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, Russia, Aerospace Department). He is a published expert and patent holder in applied physics, optical effects and signal manipulation and a former Science and Technology Manager at Ionics Sievers.
BiOptix was originally established in 2008 as BiOptix Diagnostics in Boulder, Colorado. The company set out to develop its proprietary E-SPR (Enhanced Surface Plasmon Resonance) technology platform for the detection of molecular interactions. This technology was developed by BiOptix in conjunction with Dr. Jan Hall, Professor Adjunct of Physics at the University of Colorado, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2005.
